This screen summarizes what Nintendo showed for Wii U and its GamePad during this afternoon’s live stream (click for a larger version). The New Super Mario Bros. tease is nice — if unsurprising — but what Wii U brings to the table is Miiverse, the social community permeating the console and its games. There’s a hint of achievements, too.
I already posted a synopsis for the Nintendo Direct presentation at Gamasutra, where you can read about Miiverse, other GamePad features, and the Wii U Pro Controller. I’m really excited about Miiverse, and will try to post more about it later if I can find time to.
